Angående egoismen vill jag varmt rekomendera The Selfish Gene - Richard Dawkins som ett inlägg angående egoismens självberättigande i ett samhälle/kultur. Har inget med satanismen att göra men väl med egoismen som drivande kraft i ett moraliskt sammanhang.

Alltså är en Satanist, en person som inte bryr sig om någon eller något.
Det tror inte på någon gud, eller att satan finns. Varför använda sig av Satan som deras symbol. De ser inte precis vackra ut i deras kläder, de flesta brukar ändå gå klädda på ett mer än udda sätt.
Musikintresserade ungdomar med en fallenhet för det obskyra, inte speciellt belästa utan de känner en slags gemenskap i att klä sig så och att utrycka sig "sataniskt"
En riktigt satanist verkar hellre i det dolda och ser ut som vilken välklädd framstånde medborgare som helst!
detta enligt en god vän som nyss övergivit den "läran"
Vad vet vi egentligen mer än det vi lärt oss själva i livet? Vet vi ens det eller är vi grundlurade?

Man får inte heller glömma bort att det finns ett flertal olika former av satanism som fungerar radikalt olika. ska skriva ner några här;
church of satan kallas allmänt för "laveyism" efter grundaren Anton szandor lavey. Det är den formen av satanism som har budord, ritualer, ser satan som symbol osv.
sen har vi såkallade dualistisk satanism, som ser djävulen/satan som en motpol till gud. De snöar in lite på argumentationen huruvida Djävulen är mäktigare än Gud eller tvärtom.

vi har även en extrem form av satanism som ligger nära det turandil skriver mågra poster bort; "den vänstra handens väg" som tillämpades av "order of nine angles" där man menar att varje medlem är sin gud, och man ska offra människor samt att det naturliga urvalet bereder väg för en ny typ av människor.
Sen har vi ett otal kulter som blandar och ger från alla håll och kanter. De enda säkra slutsatserna vi kan dra av satanism är att det finns så många olika former att det är svårt att hitta något gemensamt. Det som finns som en nämnare i alla former är jaget före annat. Man kan förenkla allt och säga att jaget är lika centralt i satanismen som dialektiken är i socialism. Sedan finns det lika många varianter på satanism att det är lönlöst att klumpa ihop dem. Precis som att Kina,Nordkorea, Kuba och Sveriges socialism inte är särskilt lika varandra men delar en del drag.

Nej, det har den heller inget att göra med. Lika lite som med satanismen. Har du verkligen läst boken? "Själviskheten" har i det fallet absolut ingenting att göra med själviskhet på individnivå, eller med moral. Vilket Dawkins också förklarar. Extremt tydligt. Upprepade gånger. Hela boken igenom, faktiskt. Hela bokens poäng är ju att individer och arter är fel nivå att lägga selektionsenheten i det naturliga urvalet på (vilket gett upphov till de flesta av de missuppfattningar som finns rörande evolution). Rätt nivå är gener eller genkomplex, som förstås bara är "själviska" om man antropomorfiserar dem.

De dyrkar dock inte påfåglar. De hävdar inte heller att djävulen visar sig på jorden som en påfågel.
Kärnan i deras tro är tron på sju mäktiga andeväsen, en sorts ärkeänglar. Deras ledare heter "Tawuse Melek", påfågelsängeln. Ett av hans binamn är "Shaytan" vilket fått muslimer och kristna runt omkring att identifiera honom med djävulen. Enligt Yaziderna är Tawuse Melek inte alls någon ond varelse eller fallen ängel utan guds främste representant på jorden (yazidernas gud är själv rätt frånvarande, mest en skapargud som överlåtit ansvaret för världen till de sju ärkeänglarna). En annan anledning att muslimerna identifierar påfågelsängeln med djävulen är att enligt yaziderna var anledningen till att gud satte Tawuse Melek som ledare över änglarna att han var den ende av dem som vägrade buga sig för Adam när gud befallde dem att göra det. I koranen händer samma sak med Iblis/Shaytan, men där framställs det inte som något positivt.
De har väldigt lite koppling till kristendomen utan verkar bäst kunna beskrivas som en synkretism med utgångspunkt från sufistisk islam och kraftiga influenser från tidigare lokala trossystem besläktade med zoroastrianism och persisk mytologi. Religionens grundare Shaykh ˤAdī ibn Musafir dog 1162.
De är (självvalt) som du säger mycket isolerade, tillåter inte giftermål utanför religionen och tillåter inte konvertiter.
Aleviter är något annat, även det en religionsvariant med utgångspunkt från sufism (shiitisk, i detta fall). Den skiljer sig dock inte lika mycket från islam som Yazidismen.

Yazidierna dyrkar alltså en Melek, då inställer sig frågan om han har en kusin i Babylon som heter Molok och som Jehova betraktade som grovt vanartig?

Hur du kan ha kopplat ihop dem är väl inte så värst konstigt.. de har liknande ursprung, finns i ungefär samma område och kultursfär.. vissa sätter till och med ett samlingsnamn "Yazdanism" runt Alevism, Yazidism och Yarsanism (Ahl-e-haqq); trots att de har rätt stora olikheter och väldigt lite kontakt med varandra anser man då att de har ett sorts gemensamt ursprung i en äldre lokal religion.Fiskaren skrev:@ Engan

Troligen inte, eftersom Molok/Molech/Moloch är en semitisk gud som vad jag vet inte hade något särskilt med Babylon att göra. "melek" betyder bara ängel och är alltså inte hela "Tawuse Melek"s namn utan snarare en titel eller beskrivning. De andra sex änglarna är också "melek". Ska du nödvändigtvis ta en del av namnet får det bli "Tawuse" i så fall. Dvs påfågel.
I semitiska språk verkar liknande ord (baserade på roten m-l-k) ofta betyda "kung/herre". Arabiska har "malik"="kung". Hebreiska "melekh"="kung".

Kanske ska tillägga att det nog kan hända att jag hade fel i att Yaziderna själva skulle kallat Tawuse Melek för Shaytan som ett binamn. Det kan nog vara så att det är en helt muslimsk idé baserad på den liknande mytologin runt påfågelsängeln och Iblis/Shaytan.
Det är inte helt lätt att få fram eller värdera information om en religion som helst inte diskuteras med utomstående..
