Fun Fact Sunday: Did you know that PEPSI was once the 6th LARGET MILITARY in the world Sounds crazy, but it’s a true story! Here’s what happened. Apparently Soviet leader Khrushchev fell in love with the drink during a meeting he had with Nixon. He wanted to bring Pepsi into the USSR, however soviet money did not work around the world at that time. So they had to figure out a different type of payment. In 1970 they agreed to pay with Stolichnaya Vodka, and Pepsi became the first western product to enter the soviet market. This agreement expired in 1980 and Pepsi did not want to continue this agreement, so the soviets came up with a new solution. They offered a fleet of subs and boats for a 3 billion dollars worth of soda. The new agreement included 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate, and a destroyer. Pepsi accepted the deal and later sold the fleet to a Swedish company for scrap recycling.

Re: Pepsi challenge?
Här står det lite och det finns bilder av sovjetiska Pepsi. Kan inte bedöma den ryska sajtens trovärdighet.
