Rome total war

Rumours have been circulating that Rome was to be the focus of the next Total War game, now with many thanks to Scharukin we have a translation of a preview article from GameStar magazine.

Planned for release in the 3rd quarter of 2003 Rome Total War promises to be outstanding.

Rome Total War promises a brand new 3D engine, using motion capture and polygons we will escape forever the bitmapped sprites we have grown so fond of over the last two and a half years.

Factions at this stage include Rome, Carthage, Egypt and Greece, with Historical campaigns depicting Spartacus and the slave revolt, Hannibal crossing the Alps and I am sure there will be many more for us to enjoy in the final release.

We will also be able to build wonders of the world including the Pyramids, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Colloseum.

Seiges will take on a new life, with the promise of Seige Towers, Battering Rame and Ladders. Plans at this stage also include seige engineers to tunnel under the walls.

Rome Total War promises to be truly fantastic, again i refer you to the Entrance Hall forum, where you will find links to a full size screenshot and a few thumbnail images, all we can find at this time,
no doubt, now the cat's out of the bag, we will see more reviews soon...

Jag skulle vilja ha ett Total War spel som utspelar sig runt 1500-1700-talen.. Det vore nice.

Men visst, Rome ser riktigt fint ut

Jag kanske är fel ute, men skulle inte de typ utveckla ett spel som skulle hetta musket: total war lite senare?

Mena! Jag tror att det kommer att bli årets spel, eller iallfall för min del. Har längtat sedan de första rykterna kom och nu är det inte så jätte länge kvar innan det släpps

letade runt, men jag hittar inte pü vilket datum rome total war släpps. finns det nün som hittat datumet?

De har inget exakt datum men nån gång under denna höst så ska de vara klara. Får hoppas att de inte skjuter upp de nå mer, från början var de meningen att spelet skulle släppas under våren 04
