Det var en utomordentligt bra gissning!
The Opening of Trans-Siberian Air Corridor to the World
Tupolev Tu-114
Varjagen har frågan!
Japan’s relations with the Soviet Union were improving by 1960 and by 1966 both countries sought to sign a five-year trade agreement as well as a civil aviation agreement that came into effect by 1967, it partially opened up the airspace access for Japan Air Lines to fly over the Trans-Siberian Air Corridor using aircraft and flight-crew provided by Aeroflot.
The Tu-114 was selected to perform flight duties between Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO) and Tokyo-Haneda Airport (HND). The aircraft is a derivative of the Tu-95 (introduced in 1952) that served its purpose as a strategic bomber and maritime surveillance aircraft for the former Soviet Air Force and present-day Russian Air Force. The Tu-114 till date holds the record of the fastest-propeller driven aircraft due to it’s unique swept-wing design (popularly seen in jetliners) combined with four powerful Kuznetsov NK-12 engines providing enough shaft power to a set of contra-rotating propellers per engine, rotating at speeds faster than sound, which allowed this aircraft to fly as fast as turbojet powered competitors .
On 17th April 1967, the first flight between Moscow and Tokyo utilizing the Trans-Siberian Air Corridor departed from Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO). It was the first commercial flight to fly over the Western Siberian region, it reduced the flight duration to 10-11 hours and eliminated the need of fuel-stops in between due to the greater range capabilities offered by the aircraft. The Tu-114s which were utilized for these flights had the Aeroflot and Japan Air Lines hybrid livery showcasing their joint-venture.

Re: Quiz: Flyg- och rymd-historia
The SNCAC NC.1070 was a piston engined attack and torpedo bomber designed and built in France shortly after World War II. The second prototype, the NC1071, was the first French multi-jet turbine powered aircraft.
/.../
The NC.1070 was first flown on 23 May 1947. Tests continued into 1948 but, piloted by Fernand Lasne, it was seriously damaged in a belly landing at Toussus-le-Noble Airport on 9 March 1948 and did not fly again. Instead, SNCAC concentrated on the jet powered second prototype, the NC.1071.
This was powered by a pair of 22.24 kN Rolls-Royce Nenes, mounted in booms like the piston engines of the NC.1070, though rather further forward, positioned below the wing and with their tailpipes emerging from the previously pointed boom ends. Because of the lowered booms/tailpipes the lower, fixed horizontal tail was removed. The rear gun position was replaced by a partially glazed observer's position and the bottom of the rudder was clipped to avoid the jet exhaust. Apart from these engine induced changes the NC.1071 was aerodynamically very similar to the NC.1070, with the same dimensions and only 130 kg heavier empty. Its maximum speed was increased by nearly 40% at altitude and it had a greater ceiling, (13,000 m) but its range, much reduced, was only 1,000 km.
The NC.1071 made its first flight on 12 October 1948. It suffered damage to its undercarriage on 27 April 1949, flew again in 1950 and was modified the following May after significant structural distortion appeared in flight. Though both an all weather fighter variant (NC.1072) and an attack bomber (NC.1073) were considered, they were not built and development was abandoned at the end of NC.1071's flight tests.

Конечно!
Byggdes i ett fåtal exemplar. Flygplanstypen har så att säga fått olika roller att spel, men individen vi ser på bilderna har (mest?) uttnyttjats för andra än militäriska ändamål.
