Pillat vidare.

I stort sett gjort klart skrovet, lite detaljer kvar bara.

- Gjorde om fördäcket, så jag fick mer plats för brygga genom att flytta knäcken till akterkan av det istället för som en del av det. Med inspiration från pansarkryssaren HMS Duke of Edinburgh, som har en liknande tornuppställning förut.

- Påbörjat arbete med nya 210mm kanoner (de gamla m/02 jag använde tidigare är ganska fula, och knappt korrekta heller...) Denna är helt hittepå. (därav dee lolörta tornen.

Efter omarbetning mm, vet inte om jag skall ha tripod eller torn till stridsmärsen. Tripod ger mer balans. Sugen på gör en en moderniserad version, som IRL Fylgia. Att de överlevt i malpåse och panikmoderniseras för i tex Asien under VK2.

Personligen gillar jag tornen, men det är ju typisk franskt påfund. En mer engelsk look är ju tripoden.

Återupplivar denna tråd, med ett kryssarförsök.

Har efter att spelat World of Warships grottat ner mig i kryssare, speciellt tunga sådana. Såg nu när jag ska posta att Psilander redan (för två år sedan) har gjort en egen, snarlik min variant - MEN då jag tålmodigt pressat ner min från 12 000 ton standard displacement (washington standard eller?) till lite över 10 000 ton, ser jag att hans ligger på 11 500 ton, i skam med Washingtonföredragen! (dock observerar jag att 12 000 ton full load är mer likt typ New Orleans - är det definitioner som matarvaten och sånt som spökar? Ökade min kryssare till 10 400 ton, bara genom extra räckvidd, efter att skamlöst snelgat på tidigare nämnda varianter. Samma med minorna!

Orininalet mitt var på 3+2+2x203mm, 8x2 152mm och lv, 35 knops fart och 150mm eller så i pansarbälte - Men detta vägte kring 11-12 tusen ton, klart över washingtonföredragets gränser. Jag resonerade att 152mm sekundärartelleri var onödigt grovt, så jag skalade ned det till 105mm, sedan att ska man ha tre torn borde alla vara trippeltorn. Följdaktligen fick farten gå ner till mer normala 32 knop, vilket även gav lägre fribord, vilket gav mycket vikt att lägga på bepansring - 180mm i bältet är nog bland de bättre bland tunga kryssare hade under epoken. däcket på 60mm är kanske inte så märkvärdigt, och torpedskyddet 40mm har bara en halvmeter i volym åt sidorna - men frågan är om det är nog att ens vara värt det?

funderingar - hon är ganska smal? 17,8m utan torpedbulber, och så ska hon ha trippel 203mm... en överslagsräkning gjorde min skissade barbett till ca 7m i diameter - förliga tornet är ganska långt bak och de aktra drar fördel av en stor transom = ganska bred akteröver - borde funka? New Orleans är 18,8m bred, men så har hon också superfiring torn fram - mycket högre upp.

Fribordet i fören är hela tre meter över fördäckets nivå - det förliga tornet kan knapperligen skjuta rakt fram, ens vid ganska hög elevation. Jag resonerade att jag hellre ger SpringSharp 1,0 i sjövädighet än att man ska kunna skjuta precis rakt fram.
