En annan teori på detta är att han istället flydde till det makedonska hovet, där han fick residens och förförde Olympias, Alexander den stores blivande mor. Som bekant hade Philip II många fruar.

Punkt 2 påstår att Alexander var son till Ammon(som grekerna kallade Zeus). Det var en en gud som brukade avbildades som en människa, men med vädurshuvud, eller bara med får-horn. Den var intimt förknippad med den styrande egyptiska faraon. Punkt 3 påstår att Olympias blev förförd av Nectanebos, när han var utklädd som Ammon, och att han var Alexanders far.

Olympias, claimed that Philip was not Alexander's father, but Zeus in the form of a serpent. By coincidence a serpent is often identified with the god, Zeus Ammon.
